LOVE POSH.I.ON: Geoffrey Chaucer, The Royal Wedding Poet
At the Royal Wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Bishop quoted Geoffrey Chaucer (c. 1343-1400 ), the London poet, from The Canterbury Tails: "Whan maistrie [mastery] comth, the God of Love anon Beteth his wynges, and farewell, he is gon."
