Last year, Sarah Burton and Alexander McQueen styled Mother Monster aka Lady Gaga in her Bad Romance video.

Today, Sarah Burton, 36, reigns supreme in the royal romance of Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cambridge (fomerly known as Miss Catherine Middleton) to His Royal Highess, The Duke of Cambridge (formerly known as Prince William).

Born and raised in Manchester, U.K. as one of four, Burton graduated from Manchester Polytechnic and Central St.  Martins.  Her third year of college, Burton became an intern for the late Alexander McQueen (a Central St. Martins alum). After his tragic death, Burton took over as Creative Director.  Burton's design range of fashion travels the spectrum from the Ave Maria of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge to the Avant Garde of Lady Gaga, mixed with dressing American Royalty, United States First Lady Michelle Obama and Academy Award-winner Gwyneth Paltrow.

Now, Sarah Burton is fashion royalty.

At the Royal Wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Bishop quoted Geoffrey Chaucer (c. 1343-1400 ), the London poet, from The Canterbury Tails: "Whan maistrie [mastery] comth, the God of Love anon Beteth his wynges, and farewell, he is gon."

LOVE POSH.I.ON: Socially-Modern Royal Wedding

William Arthur Phillip Louis vowed to love, honor, and share his life with Catherine Elizabeth, in holy matrimony, on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey.  Over a billion people around the world engaged into this storybook occasion.

A royal wedding for the 21st century. The Royal Wedding Programme was printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper, and was presented for download on iTunes and Acrobat PDF.  The actual ceremony live-streamed on YouTube and Apps from iTunes and the Android Market. I reported live tweets on Twitter (@VoncelleVolte) and sent updates to Facebook. Besides, The Volté Voice, my Twitterpaper, provided the latest news from around the world just as the vows ended. In short, the royal wedding was an international social media event.

In a word: Flawless. The West End of London may have celebrated the beginning of a modern British history live, but so did I.

The Westminster Abbey has been a chapel of Royal Peculiar since 960 when King Edgar donated the land.

Throughout its regal history, the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster, has been at the forefront of communications, from the first printing press in 1476 to today's apps.

LOVE POSH.I.ON: Sam Waley-Cohen, The Royal Matchmaker

No need to move over Patti Stanger.  Sam Waley-Cohen will not take credit for causing all of the royal wedding hoopla we are experiencing this week.  However, Prince William and soon-to-be Princess Catherine reunited in 2008 at the 17th-century castle of the Waley-Cohen family. A few weeks later, the papparazzi caught the monarchs on a yacht together.  A few months ago, they announced their engagement.  Thanks to Sam Waley-Cohen, we are living amidst one of cupid's historic nuptuals.

So, the next time someone invites you to a soiree, make sure the address originated before the 18th century and has a mote.  Most importantly, the guest list will include royalty.  You could become the next Princess of Wales.
